The GLORY OF EXCELLENCE lit up like a small star. The ship looked majestic and regal for moment, basked in the blinding light of the explosion. It was a scene worthy of the ship’s namesake.

Fortunately for her, the BANG was left behind on the pod. The small tactical nuke exploded a few hundred yards or so from the hull of the flagship. Not only did it take out the remaining pods that were waiting to board, but it made the entire flagship lean over to one side and its hull to buckle inwards near the blast. The damage was bad enough, but it could have been worse.

Pupuhed was thinking the same thing. ”Fire”, he said to his weapons officer.

A plasma torpedo was launched from the Suid Sidal and streaked towards the Pondscum Nebula.

Right about that time the GREASERS detected the nuke going off in the distance. That much energy being expended was a huge food beacon for them. Although the advance scouts were too busy with the PezDispenser, the main body of the swarm adjusted it’s flight path and headed at a maddening pace towards the federation flagship and the plasma torpedo heading its way.
