Somewhere in the vast expanse of equipment which kept the ship running smoothly, a node on a relay burns out which operates the cloaking field. For some reason, the relay back-up malfunctions and does not divert the energy to the proper systems to keep the cloaking shields operable in that sector.

Around the middle section of the hull of the Suid Sidal, a fifth of the null barrier created by the cloaking shield disappears. This gap in the field is immediately noticed by the GREASERS as they realize that the energy signals which were previously out of their reach are suddenly available to them. The GREASERS start to move along the null barrier toward the breach.

Suddenly, they begin clanking onto the outside hull of the Siud Sidal and start boring their way toward the promised feeding frenzy inside.
